1. East Coast Commercials' Extended Warranty Programme

PERIOD OF WARRANTY: 3 YEARS (36 MONTHS)

Commencing immediately after the statutory or manufacturers new car warranty expires.

NUMBER OF CLAIMS: UNLIMITED during 3 year period

CONDITIONS:

1. All Services and repairs must be carried out by a licensed mechanical workshop of your choice.
2. Vehicle must be serviced every 6 months or 10,000 KM's, whichever comes first. (150 KM period of grace)
3. Completed service coupon must be mailed to east coast commercials.

NOTE: This extended warranty can only be purchased at point of sale.

2. Statutory Warranty

The Statutory Warranty covers a Motor Vehicle which is "Class A" or "Class B" on the day of its sale.

A "Class A" warranted vehicle has an odometer reading of less than 160,000km AND was manufactured less than 10 years before the day of sale. Class A vehicles are warranted to be free from defects from (i) 3 months after the day the vehicle is sold when the Dealer's place of business is open for business*; or (ii) until the vehicle travels 5,000 km after it is sold.

A "Class B" vehicle has an odometer reading of 160,000 km or more: OR was manufactured at least 10 years before the day of sale. Class B vehicles are warranted to be free from defects from (i) 1 month after the day the vehicle is sold when the Dealer's place of business is open for business*; or (ii) until the vehicle travels 1,000 km after it is sold.

*(Counted from at 5.00pm on the first day, other than a Sunday or public holiday)

Some Commercial type vehicles displayed do not qualify for a Statutory Warranty.
As per the PAMD (Property Agents and Motor Dealers) Act 2000, vehicles which are manufactured for the purpose of goods carry, carry more than 1 ton or carry more than 9 passengers are not entitled to this Statutory Warranty. In this case, East Coast Commercials will still Warrant the vehicle.

3. Balance of Manufacturers Warranty The majority of car manufacturers cover defects for the first 3 years or 100,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. These factory backed warranties cover workmanship and materials, the engine, transmission, clutch, interior and exterior components.
